Office Depot SEALing the deal

Case Studies Comments Off

The Background

Office Depot, a world-leading provider of office products and services, introduced a recognition scheme in the UK to foster team spirit, and harness the creativity and commitment of its employees. SEALS awards – Specially-Elected Associates giving Leadership Support – set out to reward individuals who go that bit further in their daily work to demonstrate the company’s core values of integrity, loyalty and trust. The acronym is also a nod to the elite fighting unit of US Navy, thereby helping reinforce the merit of the award.

The Brief

Our task was to design a campaign to publicise and engage Office Depot’s 3,000 employees in the UK.

CW's Approach

Our design team devised the winged SEALS emblem and a range of material to support a publicity campaign, including pop-up banners, posters, presentation slides, nomination forms, and a SEALS badge for successful nominees.

The Outcome

The campaign has really caught the imagination of people throughout the business, encouraging them to look at how they can earn the accolade through their own endeavours. To date, more than 50 people have been presented with what is now a sought-after SEALS badge.
